Terms of use
These terms govern use of the WealthSteer websites and, for firms, the WealthSteer products. Firms' use of the products is also governed by their order form and the Data Processing Agreement, which take precedence where they differ. WealthSteer is currently in beta.
What ${P} is — and isn't
WealthSteer provides tools that help advice firms measure and engage their clients: questionnaires, scores, financial pictures, calculators and reports. Everything it produces is information and guidance to support a conversation with a regulated adviser. It is not financial advice, a personal recommendation, or an assessment of suitability, and must not be relied on as such. Advice is given only by the firm, under its own regulatory permissions.
Accounts
Adviser accounts are created by a firm's administrator or by us on the firm's instruction. You must keep sign-in links private; they are single-use and personal to you. Firms are responsible for the people they give access to and for removing access when someone leaves.
Acceptable use
Do not use WealthSteer to process data you have no right to process, to attempt to access another firm's data, to probe or overload the service, or for any unlawful purpose. Client-facing links are for the named client only.
Data
Client data entered into WealthSteer belongs to the firm and is processed under the Data Processing Agreement. We may produce anonymised, aggregated statistics (such as a published confidence index) in which no firm or individual is identifiable.
Beta and availability
WealthSteer is provided during beta on a reasonable-endeavours basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it, and features may change. We will give firms reasonable notice of material changes.
Intellectual property
WealthSteer, Uplift, Nurture, the Financial Confidence Index, the scoring methodologies and all software and content are owned by Steer Financial Ltd or its licensors. Firms receive a licence to use the products for their own advice business under their agreement with us.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Steer Financial Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information produced by WealthSteer as if it were advice, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
